China New Energy Vehicle Initial Quality Study (NEV-IQS)

The study provides a measurement of “Voice of Customer” during the first 2-6 months of ownership to identify those problems that new energy vehicle owners encounter in this initial ownership period. The study addresses issues of design-related problems and defects/ malfunctions by make, model, and vehicle segment. NEV-IQS bases on IQS system and adds charging experience which is exclusive for NEVs.
Since 2020, J.D. Power launched VQS 2020 platform and NEV-IQS updated simultaneously. The new platform provides more quality information related to new technologies and configurations in the current and future market and helps the manufacturers obtain more accurate and in-depth information.
NEV-IQS also includes in which steps car owners decided to purchase or not purchase a new energy vehicle, and we believe it will add value to OEM’s decisions in sales part.
